Opening 'Collecting Photographers'
Despite stormy weather the opening of 'Collecting Photographers' was well attended by a 340 people. Wellington Mayor Kerry Prendergast addressed the guests. The event marks the first combined effort with the New Zealand Portrait Gallery who are showing The Hocken Collections' 'Portraits of Artists'.

Agfa Isolette of the early 1950s
Wellington Polytechnic student Erwin Brinkman used a vintage Agfa Isolette on his course in 1994. The result was stunning. Erwin has since distinguished himself with his photography work in Stewart Island.
